Almaty, May 20, 2026
The meeting was dedicated to the conclusion of the academic year: the college reviewed meaningful outcomes in dialogue with business representatives and outlined key areas of work for the upcoming year.
Participants
The meeting brought together representatives of partner companies and organizations, including Alexey Popadchenko (Mybuh.kz), Dariga Eskenova (Nielsen), Laura Akan and Leonid Stepanov (RB Partners Academy), Yerlan Anarbekov (Russell Bedford A+Partners), Eleonora Saipinova (Forte Bank), Gulnaz Kudaybergenova (AZK Group), Saken Nugayev (Center for Legal Protection and Legal Services), Natalya Konishcheva and Yevgeniya Pak (Beeline Kazakhstan), Alexey Nigay and Raihan Kalymbetova (Centras Insurance), as well as Yerassyl Sakybay and Kalbinur Assimova (Department of Judicial Administration of Almaty).
Representing the college were General Director Maksat Serikbolovich Abaydullayev, First Deputy Director Ernur Ospankulov, deputy directors for academic affairs, the head of educational programs, and faculty members of профильных specialties.
Agenda
The extended format of the meeting made it possible to cover three key areas. The first focused on evaluating the academic year and assessing how well graduates’ competencies align with employers’ practical expectations. The second addressed existing gaps between educational program content and the real demands of the labor market. The third discussed formats of cooperation, including case studies, mentoring, joint projects, and employment support as tools for strengthening the connection between the college and industry.
Kirill Akulov, Chairman of the Industrial Council and head of Mega Server, coordinates the integration of these conclusions into updated curricula for the specialties “Accounting and Audit,” “Management,” “Law,” “Software Engineering,” and “Banking and Insurance.”
Results
Following the meeting, several priorities for the upcoming academic year were identified: updating educational programs based on employer feedback, expanding internship opportunities, and launching joint educational projects with the council’s partner companies.
Special emphasis will also be placed on strengthening students’ practice-oriented training. The college plans to introduce additional components into the educational process aimed at developing business negotiation skills, professional communication, project work, analytical thinking, and presentation skills. These competencies are especially important to ensure that graduates are prepared not only to perform professional tasks, but also to confidently interact with employers, clients, and teams in real working environments.
Narxoz College regularly holds strategic meetings with business representatives to ensure that the knowledge and competencies acquired by students remain aligned with current market demands. The final meeting of the Industrial Council serves as one of the key instruments supporting this ongoing work.
